How to make DIY bath salt. by harumi

Hey, I hope you had warm, magical holidays, and now get ready for the new year, 2019.

I spent time with my family and had an excellent time to gain my weight and take photos.

Probably, many of you traveled during the time, or even you were staying at home, the year-end is always hectic moments of the year. A time you unnecessarily feel in a rush to start a good year.

So today, I would like to show how to make the first bath salt that does not take your time and gives you an intimate luxury moment. A good timing, my friend's birthday is coming up in 2 weeks, so this art craft introduction is also for a tip of DIY gifts.

Instruction

  1. Put salt in a small jar.
I used PYRAMID SALT from Trader Joes. It's just because salt is edgily cut and visually present well. Also, its lid and the size of a container are best for a gift.

  2. Add flower seeds or tea leaf
Next, add any flower seeds or tea leaf. I used dried lavender tea leaf and rosemary flower.

  3. Shake the jar

  4. Add your preferred aroma essences oil
For this bath salt, I added aroma essential oil of lavender, vanilla, lemongrass, and Isabella from Aesop

  5. Shake the jar

  6. Completed!

That easy : )

I love aroma essential oil just for before bed-time, drinking water in the fresh morning, during yoga practice, or even when I vacuum rooms, spraying them onto floors.  Aroma essential oil, those change your life routines. Now, you have a good bath time with the DIY bath salt.

Hope this post helps you find a way of being creative and relaxing in the year start.

Thank you for reading.

Happy New Year -Flower Walk- by harumi

Happy new year to all!

I was staying at home with my family for three days. No stretch, no workout, no walk, just ate and slept. Finally, I went out outside today and walked in the town. It was so so lovely to have the cold air and take photos of flowers with listening to music.

January playlist is ready to be published... but maybe not today.

Have a lovely rest of the holidays, and I hope everyone will have a calm, kind, and beautiful year in 2019.

In 2018, that was a challenging year for me in both good and bad. I am still working on some of the parts, but developing my creatives and pushing the boundaries of my limits were themes of this year.

Before closing 2018, I leave my blog posts sorted by categories. This blog kept myself on the right pole, and I am pretty much satisfied with that I consistently could make outputs. Will continue posting for the more valuable information.

When photos were real by harumi

Those are photos back in 2010, time when I truly purely enjoyed art, fashion, and music. I bought my first iPhone3G in 2009. Instagram came out in 2010. I found those Polaroid photos in my old phone, edited by the first Instagram editing tools to post on my personal account. Addicted to capture the moments.

Nowadays, everybody can be a “photographer” by using platforms with photoshop, Lightroom, apps, etc..  which opened possibilities of expanding boundaries of creativity and self-expression.

However, this also created commodification of life moments, the culture of photo consuming, and I am a part of them.

To me, photos are real when a photo projects a person or her/his life moments without editing. Not context, but all about content in photos.

Here I get myself back to the original point, where only one time shooting and no editing on my laptop. Whenever I or friends felt I’m being me, asked them to take Polaroid photos.
(My favorite shot is dancing with a black bear in Taiwan. : )

For those who are in their moments.
